ADMISSIONS 2025-26: TEST CENTRE SELECTION FOR CANDIDATES SHORTLISTED FOR B.DES DAT MAINS

The B.Des DAT Mains Studio Test is scheduled to be conducted on Saturday, 03 May 2025. The Studio Test shall be conducted at the following NIDs viz, NID Ahmedabad, NID Bengaluru, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Jorhat. Vijay Design Studio Preparing students for NID Mains and number 1 study material for the NID Entrance Exams across India.

The candidates shortlisted for DAT Mains will be provided with an interface on https://admissions.nid.edu to choose a test centre of their choice between 4 pm, Thursday, 03 April 2025, up to 4 pm, Sunday, 06 April 2025. The candidates will have to log in using their login credentials. The exact timings of the Studio Test and the address of the Test Centre will be communicated in the Admit Card. The DAT Mains test centre will have to be selected by the candidates themselves ONLY. Allotment of the DAT Mains test centre will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once submitted, change in the test centre will not be accommodated. Candidates who fail to submit their test centre preference will be allotted the test centre automatically by the system based on the number of seats available at the respective test centres. The discretion to allot any test centre rests with the Admissions Cell-NID Ahmedabad. Important Instructions:

  1. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear for the Studio Test in order to be eligible for the final stage of admissions.

  2. Rescheduling of Studio Test or change in the Test Centre will not be accommodated, under any circumstances.

  3. Admit Cards for the Studio Test can be downloaded on Friday, 11 April 2025 from 4 pm onwards.

  4. It is sole responsibility of the candidate to download and print the Admit Card for the Studio Test. The candidates are required to bring the hard copy of the Admit Card along with the original photo ID proofs, as mentioned in the Admit Card for the Studio Test.

  5. ONLY the candidates will be allowed entry into the examination centre. Once the gate is closed after the registration time, no candidate will be allowed entry into the test centre under any circumstances. Candidate’s parents shall be allowed to enter the examination centre once the Studio Test commences.

  6. Appearing for DAT Mains or being shortlisted for the further stage of admissions process does NOT guarantee automatic entitlement to admissions.

  7. NID reserves the right to add or remove any test centre and allot a test centre that may not be of the candidate’s choice. A city may have more than one test centre.

  8. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to check for any updates on the Admissions website (https://admissions.nid.edu).
